Hello! Hey! Hi! I'm excited to be back! I've been a little missing in action with these monthly newsletters... I'm sorry! But also maybe it was a nice blessing considering the number of spam emails I've been getting for Christmas shopping and Black Friday sales! I've been emptying my inbox daily and probably deleting 20-30 emails! Are you with me? Or are you one of those people who doesn't sign up to anything and everything and have a really clean and neat inbox? (i wish). Anyway enough ramble... here's an update on why I've been M.I.A and what's in store for 2024! (yeah its 31 days away) I am absolutely thrilled that I've finally finished 8 long years of university study! I'm officially one step closer to becoming an architect. YAY. So I spent 5 years full time undertaking a double bachelor in architecture + construction management and once I finished that I thought I would never go back to uni because it was long enough. But then I got offered a GREAT opportunity to undertake a masters by coursework in half the duration of a standard masters degree and I had to sign up and start ASAP. So I did that for THREE years while working full time and I must say, it taught me a whole lot of discipline but I am now still trying to 'recover'. When I say recover I mean, how do I stop myself from working 15hrs a day? Or feeling very stressed about doing nothing... So yeah a few downsides but I'm done! Next steps for this journey is to get a few more projects done over the next 12-18 months to build a killer portfolio and then apply for an interview with the all 'fancy' Australian Institute of Architects. If I get an interview I then sit an exam and apply for registration! 2. Yeah that's really my only exuse for being M.I.A... I've now been catching up on everything else that I had to push aside for the last 3 weeks of study. Here's a few projects we've been working on. We just completed THREE gorgeous design projects in the last month. All three are quite different but each fitting their purpose and designed to suit the clients brief and aesthetic. As a designer, it's my job to fit the aesthetic of the client - NOT the clients job to fit into my favourite style. So we do lots of different projects with lots of different styles! I've put a few views from our 3D models below so you can see whether these projects ended up. Keep an eye out on social media to see the build progress on all three of these projects! We are looking forward to seeing them come to life!! 3. Last but not at all least, 2024 is already shaping up to be a big year - here's a few of our plans In 2024 we want to make our services more accessible. Our beloved Build Assistant service isn't going anywhere but we are piggy backing off it's success (and learnings) to add another service. This smaller, 2hr service will be tailored specifically for renovators who haven't started the design process yet. If you've just bought a fixer-upper this service is for you! We'll come and check it out and spend 2 hours together brainstorming ideas and giving you a whole bunch of tips and tricks to get started in the renovation process. We're also expanding to add some more readily accessible services. Think downloadable PDF 'bibles'. We're starting by bringing you a measurement guide! If you've renovated before you'll know that you can spend HOURS researching on the internet to find out how much room there should be in a shower, or how far away your toilet should be from the wall. We get it - in fact we often have to do the same thing because well, there's a huge lack of information and education on this stuff! So we are bringing it to you in a single book. YAY to more time looking at finishes and less time in the depths of Google! SO, if you're renovating keep an eye out because there will be a few promos and deals for the first few customers! If you're really keen on either of these new offerings, reply here and we'll provide you with some pricing and start dates! THAT'S ALL FOLKS. THE SHOWS OVER. CHAT AGAIN NEXT MONTH OR CATCH US ON SOCIAL MEDIA XX Are you about to start building or renovating? Are you struggling with making decisions? Our Build Assistant could be perfect for you! The Build Assistant is a 4 hour in person meeting with our design team where we cover:
If this sounds like the help you need, reply to this email and let us get you on your way to a dream build! |
